Breakout 2017 is offering a ton of events for you to participate in! No experience necessary. All materials will be provided. This is a great chance to try a game for the first time, test out a new system or sign up for an old favourite!
Events at Breakout 2017 require an admission pass for the day of the event. Admission passes can be purchased in advance on the Breakout website or on the day of at the convention. Signing up for an event and not purchasing a pass will result in your seat being assigned to another attendee.
The Facts Machine has gone haywire! It’s spewing out incorrect information and it’s up to you to shut it down before the world fills up with misinformation and chaos! In this cooperative trivia game, players are tasked with picking out the 1 incorrect answer the Facts Machine has added to questions like “The 3 countries that border Paraguay.” If they guess correctly, they move the lever closer to turning the Machine off and winning. If they guess incorrectly, the Machine moves closer to Full Power. If the Machine reaches Full Power, the group loses.

Spelling Words to Smash Monsters, basically an RPG-meets-Scrabble game where you make words to deal damage to intimidating monsters, has hand-building, different player powers, etc.
Cardspiracy is a card game where players delve into the secret world of conspiracies that controls our lives. Each player constructs a series of conspiracies, competing against each other to gain the highest number of followers in the face of ever changing world events. Will you be able to shine light on the lies, or will other theorists keep you in the dark?
In this card-based game, players move throughout the realm of Quast, battle enemies and other players, and most of all, try to find five gnomes. Players that find five gnome cards immediately draw an 'ultra enemy' card, and if their battle total is good enough, they can defeat the ultra-enemy and become champion of Quast! This game is inspired by Munchkins, has a sense of humour, and would be suited to players of all ages who appreciate a game that can make you laugh.
